PromFest presents: Puccini Gala

The performance was professional and youthful; Puccini's supreme dramaticism mixed with lyricism, that on the compositional level appears technically daunting, suited the singers perfectly.

The Opera Gala was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Giacomo Puccini. Arias from such well-known operas as "La Bohème", "Tosca", "Manon Lescaut", "Turandot", "Madame Butterfly" and also from some rare gems such as "Edgar", "Il Tabarro" and "La Rondine" were performed.

The performers were winners of previous Klaudia Taev Competitions:
Tatyana Romanova (Estonia), Veronika Dzhioyeva (Russia),
Laimonas Pautienius (Lithuania), Ji-Min Park (South-Korea),
Ilya Silchukov (Belarus). They were accompanied by the Nargen Opera Choir and the 21st Century Orchestra conducted by Erki Pehk.
